Dear Mac OS X Developer,
The following is information on Mac OS X, Panther build 7B21, a
pre-release version of Mac OS X v10.3 Panther.
This release reflects extensive engineering efforts since the WWDC, with
issued addressed in almost every component of the OS. The extent of the
bug fixes limits our ability to communicate each of them here. Please
test your applications against this build to verify previously reported
bugs, and also refer to the on-line bug reporter for some status
changes.
This software seed consists of 3 User Install CD images. Please use Disk
Copy to burn the images onto CDs to install.
We would like to remind you that this software seed AND seed note are
covered under your Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This build is being
provided to you for testing and development purposes. Should you
encounter any problems, please submit a bug report. When submitting a
bug report, please make sure to include "Panther 7B21" in the bug
title and description. This information is extremely helpful to our team
of engineers, as it will also prevent delays in assigning your bug to
the correct engineering department.
IMPORTANT: Please be sure to include an ASP (Apple System Profiler)
report with any bug report, along with a crash log for all crashing
bugs. Kernel panic reports are also very important. If the panic is
occurring during installation, we ask that you please record the
backtrace with all the hex numbers and forward this information with
your bug report.
To generate a crash log - launch Console, go to Preferences and mark the
checkboxes under the Crash tab.
